The story
Merthyr calls itself "Your Riverside Retreat". Barefoot bowls runs in fixed blocks — "Strictly 11am – 1pm, 1-3pm, 3pm – 5pm or 5pm – 7pm" — with seven lanes available per session and a maximum of 12 players per lane. "Sessions are limited to 2 hours, but you can finish early!" The club also packages bowls with a BBQ, in which case bowls is included in the BBQ price. Children under 12 are not permitted to play bowls or enter the greens.
